Introduction to Mindfulness

During this 2 hour Introduction to Mindfulness workshop, you will be introduced to mindfulness techniques, the science and research behind mindfulness, and why this is important to your health and wellbeing. It will provide you with an opportunity to learn how mindfulness may help you or someone you care about.

The workshop will provide you with:

  • An understanding of what is mindfulness and is not

  • How mindfulness can improve your health and wellbeing

  • Opportunities to participate in mindfulness practices including mindful breathing and awareness-building

  • An opportunity to develop a range of new or better ways to cope with the challenges and demands of everyday life unique to you

Mindfulness can enable you to develop a different relationship between yourself and the issues that challenge you in your daily life. Learn to develop your strength and inner resources. Mindfulness is a tool that can help you maximise your everyday life, even when facing stress, illness or pain.
