Mindfulness for Business

If you are unsure of what mindfulness is and how could it help your organisation? This Introductory Workshop is for you.

Mindfulness can help you and your team by bringing awareness to self-regulation, protect against stress and enhance effective decision-making capabilities. Mindfulness is the art of cultivating the ability to be in control of your mind instead of your mind being in control of you. Supported by scientific research, mindfulness has been successfully implemented into businesses across the globe.

Mindfulness is a state in which you are highly aware and focused on the reality of the present moment, accepting and acknowledging it, without getting caught up in thoughts or emotional reactions to the situation.

Research conducted over the last 40 years demonstrates the benefits that can be gained from mindfulness training. Mindfulness practice reduces the risk of burnout, increasing resilience and overall well-being. It also has a beneficial impact on the brain, decreasing grey matter in the amygdala (the brains fear centre) and increasing grey matter in areas including the hippocampus (responsible for learning and memory) and pre-frontal cortex (responsible for executive functioning). In recent years research has demonstrated how mindfulness can improve many aspects of workplace productivity, improve working relationships and improve health and well-being.

After attending this workshop, you will understand what mindfulness is, the evidence that underpins it, and how it can help you in managing your busy workload. You will gain a clear idea of how mindfulness can assist your organisation and how it can be tailored to meet their organisation’s unique needs.
